i had linux on mine... it was kinda kool cause i could watch vids and play games... but then i took it off a day later cause playing games with a clickwheel and tiny screen is only fun for about a day...

ive ran it on a mini and a nano... for the nano if i remember correctly, i had to restore to and older version of ipod software for linux to install on it, you might have to do that as well

i got the 5.5 generation video. i've seen a 5.5 that had it but i dont really know the kid well enough to contact him and ask how he got it on there.
