International Players Anthem - a steal

Im sure a few of you are familiar with the new UGK song "International Players Anthem" w/ Outkast. Has anyone else ever noticed how they jacked Project Pat's beat on the song "Choose U"? If UGK's song was supposed to be on a mixtape or something, of course I wouldnt be trippin its a mixtape. But this is supposed to be on their album. As a Project Pat and UGK fan Im confused and mad.

Just listen to samples of both and you'll know what Im talking about.

They jacked nothing from Project Pat. Project Pat sampled I Choose You from Willie Hutch.

Not like he came up with it himself.

The remix with trae, lil wayne and too short is sweet. Chamillionaire also stole the song and its called "Ima Playa Fasho".

Project Pat and UGK stole it from Willie Hutch actually. So they both stole it...

Ok, so they stole it. From someone who never technically "owned" it.

Three Six made the beat from a sample of I Choose You by Willie Hutch. (yea, it was originally for Project Pat)

They remixed it for UGK.

Not the first time anything like that has ever happened.

It won't be the last, either.

Originator-Willie Hutch--->Sampler-Project Pat/3-6--->(only about 5 years in between, identical everything and everything else added in)Stealer-UGK

It's not stealing. Three Six had the rights to that beat, as they are the ones that made it. They gave the rights to UGK.

Besides, International Players Anthem is considered to be a remix to Choose You by Project Pat.

And someone else could do it too. But the only person that would make a remix of a remix IMO is Diddy...
