Don't know if anyone can help. I have a reasonably expensive model of a Ford Radio Cassette that came with my Ford Mondeo. Here in Scotland, we locally receive quite a few stations on AM, as well as FM. One of my favourite channels, BBC Five Live, only broadcasts on AM.
Whilst I can receive all my other AM pre-sets quite clearly (we're fairly close to the transmitter), when playing Five Live there is an annoying warbling whistle in the background, which gradually becomes the foreground noise, the further we are from the transmitter. It's obviously interference, but why just on this channel?. More importantly, where and what do I stick in as a suppressor?
Any answers gratefully received.
