if you read through the comments, it talks about wanting to possibly use up all/most outside sources of oil, creating somewhat of a monopoly effect when we still have that in colorado. Then we could (possibly) charge quite a bit for the barrels to outside, high powered countries.

I have no idea about whats going on with that oil, but thats just an idea stated in the comments following that article.

By that time it would be too late, and fossil fuels would be replaced by more greener forms of energy. Its already starting to happen..
