I went to new shop here in town and they had the Polk SR subwoofers. I looked the sexy things over and it seemed like I had seen them before. I mentioned it to the salesman and they didnt seem to know anything other than Polk. I looked on the net and **** if they don't look lik rebadged JL W6's! tha baskets seem almost identical baskets, venting, and motors as well. small ques leads you away from JL but I would bet $50 these thing are rebadged JL's. Power Acoustik once made a woofer that was also a near identical W6 clone, only it was a lot smaller and bottomed out easily. It's possible this is the same design Power Acoustik used back then.

Yes I guess it could be, but knowing what Polk has put into their SR series stuff I highly doubt it. I would still bet $50 Polk is in "bed" with JL on these subs. Wow. Guess you are looking to lose $50. Gotta love people basing absurd claims on a rather imprecise comparison of the drivers from the outside.

They aren't the same, nor are they even remotely close...

polk sr subs are awesome. love those woofers. there not the same though. there is a lot of technology in the sr line.

I love the SR subs I've heard them they sound magical to me....not quite my W6s but they sounded great(just in a soundrom though )

I don't believe I based and "absurd" "claim" as you put it. If you read my first post on this you will see I ask a question at the end. I also don't know where I made "imprecise" comparsions of the two other than looks. I don't believe I stated anything other than thoughts and opinions. **** sexy subs regardless and worth a look.

I have both of these subs they don't look that identical when they are side by side and the polk is heavier than the w6. They do sound about the same
