intalling my head unit

i have been trying to install my head unit and i went to walmart to get a wiring harness and i got a one thats supposed to fit general motors vehicles. I have a 99 tahoe and it was listed on the back of the box but the wiring harness doesnt fit the thing that was plugged into my factory unit. so i dont know where to get one that will fit

I've seen problems like that before....just go to where you got it, and have the manager come out and look at the wires in your dash and the harness you bought....he should give you a correct one for free.....
