hello,

i'm trying to install some subs into my tahoe, and to do this i assumed i needed an aftermarket radio. anyway, i posted on a different forum, and was given a legitimate answer to my question. [h]ttp://www.caraudioforum.com/showthread.php?t=340617

can anyone continue with where we left off on the other forum? maybe a step-by-step on how to hardwire it? at least until the adapter comes in the mail..

thanks

If you are bent on maintaining your factory radio, you can get an LOC (Line Output Converter) and tap it into your rear door speaker wires. They don't sound beautiful, are kind of touchy, and keep you from truly having control over your subs without also tweaking your rear doors. It does, however, allow you to save money on a HU and the expensive harness needed to keep your remote/door chimes/etc.
