Installing roof mount flip down monitor?

How exactly do you do this, as in, making all the wires unseen? I guess you gotta take the headliner off? I want to put one in my 96 Grand Marquis. Looking for a 10-15" with a built in DVD player and what not. I want to hook my Xbox up to it.

Im either considering one of those, or 2 Visors with screens, or headrests. Which one? And what will I need to hook up my xbox? Juss a power inverter?

you don't have to take the entire headliner down,but you do have to drop at least one side, and in a some grand marquis, that's going to be a job as it's glued to the roof. hiding the wires is a as running them down the b pillar (the post between front and rear doors) and them up into your dash. i'd also suggest a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" mdf to use as a mounting spot. make it a little larger then the screen you pick to spread the weight out.

xbox is a simple as wiring in a power inverter and running cables. run it's own power supply to the battery. and of course mounting it and the xbox.

good luck and have fun. grand marquis and crown vicz (depending on if they have the glued on headliner or not) can be the biggest PIA when it comes to overhead monitors.

drop the head liner down, screw in a mdf board to the cross braces in the roof in the area you want teh screen. then put the head liner back up. cut a small hole in the headliner for the wire to pass through, run it to the driver side front door area then down under the a pillar.

after that screw the drop down to the wood.

Sounds like a job. If I dont buy one with a built in DVD player, can I use my XBOX as a DVD player as well?
