Installing Kenwood DNX7120, video lockout question

Hello,

I am installing a DNX7120 into my 2006 F150. I have read quite a bit, and it looks like the parking brake wire needs a ground signal to activate the playback of DVDs. By design, that wire gets tapped into the parking brake circuit and gets grounded when the e brake light comes on.

Is there any reason why I couldn't tie the PBrake wire from the kenwood harness directly to the GROUND wire in the same harness? That would make for a cleaner install, and would disable the "no video while driving" circuit, right?

Right...i have googled it. I guess I am just making sure that a ground is a ground, so it doesn't matter where I ground it to, it will do the same thing. Just thinking of tapping it to the ground on the harness for a cleaner look rather than using a sheetmetal screw somewhere and tapping it down.
