I've tried installing a new head unit in my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (w Infinity Gold) and I've run into problems. I screwed up and cut the PCI Bus wire, which shorted some stuff out and cost $900 to replace. I also just had the factory radio put back in because I was sick of dealing with the installation. I'm wondering now if I could install the new HU with no problems. There would be no place to plug the PCI Bus wire from the car into the new HU, so would everything work? Jeep owners who have a Jeep like mine, with the PCI Bus wire (yellow/violet) please let me know if you installed an aftermarket head unit with no problems, and if so, how did you do it?
