Installing alarm

How hard is it to install an alarm? I dont have power locks or windows or anything like that (work truck), so would that make a difference?

that depends on the year make and model of the truck, to an experienced installer its cake. but if you have never dont it before you should have some time on your hands unlessyou really familure with a multi meter and how to test a dc circuit.

04 ram isnt to bad if you are not worried about locks and factory alarm disarm and all. you will need a relay and 330 or 249ohm resistor for your parking lights. the rest shold be easy. for this truck i usually charge 120 with locks. with out locks is way between 80 and 100 is a good price. most places include install with the unit so goto a place that has a good rep and pay a few more $'s instead of trying to save for an alarm. If its done wrong it will be a pita vs just paying a little more and not worrying about it

Its pretty basic on your truck...I shouldn't have to pay over $100 to have it installed or do it yourself...you can get your vehicle security wiring...at Bulldog Security It should take about 2 hours from start to finish.....

It's not too bad if your not worried about your locks. I mean you have to install the brain, shock sensor, glass break sensor, either door pin's or connect to the already installed electronic door switches. Also a hood pin. Shouldn't be more than a half a day. I put my alarm/remote start in myself, that took about a day but the remote start takes quite a bit of time.
