i have a 2000 caddilac deville dhs with the optional bose stereo. i want to put in an amp, but not exactly sure how to run the remote turn on. should i go to the factory amp that logically has its own remote turn on, or run to the radio where i have no idea where it is.

where is the factory amp anyway? i have the haynes manual but it dont specify its location

seriously, it really doesnt matter how you get the 12+ switched voltage to your amp, as long as it has it.

i have a 200 sls. i also have the bose system. here is what i did:

i went and bought a line out converter

i connected the four inputs to the four terminals of the factory sub

i then ran the power and grounds under the backseat seeing that is where the battery is located.

for the remote turn on u will have to open up the fuse box under the back seat.

go through the owners manual until you find the accessories fuse.

then run the remote wire under the seat and into the fuse box.

i have to cut a notch in the fuse box cover so the wire could snake through.

now just pull the fuse and run the remote wire off of the fuse. it is very simple but if anyone has a better suggestion i would love to hear it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
