I will be getting my 4 channel via UPS today..and i wanna install it what things do i need..i have a mono amp installed in my SUV...do i need a dual amp kit cause it has all the things i need..or just buy them individually??..i stick with RF wires..so i wanna go with that brand...and i need 4 guage all the way through..here what i think i need:

1.Speaker wires more than 30ft

2. 2 sets of RCA cables 17 ft each

3. Distro block...not sure about this..but i want 4 gauge in and 2 4 guage out..do i get a 1/0 in and 2 4 guage out??

4. Fuses...60A and a 40A

5. new fuse for under the hood 100A

6. power and ground 4 guage wiring

7. remote wire

I think thats it..if i forgot something let me know...any suggestions on the distro block let me know that part i am not sure of..thanks

8 guage will be fine from block to amps??..that make sense about remote wire from 4 channel to mono...just a signal wires not much current..fuses..100A under the hood is right?? 60+40=100A...fuse according to fuse rating

always go with the biggest wire you can, future upgrades are easy that way, if you can, run 0 guage to the distro and 4 or 2 guage to the amps.

yeah i have a mono sub amp installed with 4 guage wiring power and ground..dude at shop said to have 4 gauge to block then 8 guage to amps..cause they are smaller amps only 40 and 60A fuses he said i will be okay

dude at the shop makes money if you blow your chit up.

true..thats why i wanna go with all 4 guage...i hate 8 guage...so looks like i gotta buy a RF block somewhere...which one do i get..that does 4 gauge in and 2 4 guage out...do i have to get the 1/0 in and 2 4 guage out one??...thats the major problem i have...i need one that i can put a 60 and 40A fuses in...thanks

I agree...that if your doing this install and have the option just go with a 1/0 awg and be done with it. I myself have Stinger 1/0 to a distribution block with 3 4 awg outputs....because I run w/ 2 Alpine mono's and a Kenwood multi.... so 1 (1/0) input and 3 (4 awg) outputs.

since u already got one amp hooked up i would think just run a hot wire to the pos and grould the amp, and use line out on the first and run the rca to the in on the second amp
