Installation Question

I am about to setup a Dual 10" setup in my trunk and I am torn about how I want to install it. I have never done anything like this so i guess im a n00b. I have two options:

1. Take it to the local car audio place and pay them a grotesque amount of $$$ to install

2. Do it myself with the help of my neighbor who worked installation at circuit city

I want to get this started ASAP but the only factor is that i dont have a lot of money right now. Is installing something like this really that difficult?

Which option should I take?
