Was thinking about putting an audio system in my 2013 Volt, components and 1 12" or maybe 2 10" subs, but since the alternator/engine does not run most of the time, how would I wire this up, since it would virtually kill the battery every time? I went to a local shop and they were not sure, as they have not done a Volt install yet. For anyone that does not know, the Volt is an electric vehicle, with 1 large (li-ion?) battery located in the middle/rear of car that powers everything for the first 35-45 miles, unless the outdoor temperatures get too low. After that, the gasoline engine starts and powers the car. Thanks for any thoughts.
