Ingrown Toenail FTL

I had my one big toe operated on for ingrown toenails when I was a lot younger, it was bad enough that trying to let it grow out, the toe would swell up to literally half again it's normal size, and was purple...

So I went to the doctor, he surgically removed a decent sized "sliver" off the side that was growing in, and killed the bed so that sliver wouldn't grow back, still have a full toenail that doesn't hurt to walk anymore!

You go to the doctor for ingrown toenails?
*****.
be a man and dig that shit out on your own. thats what i did.
good luck doin it your whole life.. .cause they don't just stop...

I had the same problem... went to the doc... he cut it off once it was like 1/2" into my toe.. its just the way my toe nails grow...they go wider than my actual toe... doc said if it happens again they have to cut it off, THEN burn the skin where it was overgrowing so it doesnt grow anymore... I dunno why your doc didnt do that the second time

I'm not going to argue with you anymore Banana Balls since you know so much and think ingrown toenails are simple problems that can be solved by yourself lol. I clearly stated in the original post that I have had a history of these so it's not some one time thing. But since you are a genius I'll let you think whatever you want lol.

I had one.....went to cvs and bought an ingrown toenail clipper for $2.00 and cut the nail straight. then pulled out the ingrown part and isapropled the wound. Never had a problem since.

you guys can keep paying for insurance....I will stick to what works.

edit: and apparently it can also be something to do with the way you cut the nails?
