I got a brand new pair of infinity reference 5x7s for $18 today at best buy simply couldent turn the deal down. I plan on getting a crown victoria soon which is 5x7 front and 6x9 rear. I plan on running about 600-900rms watts to the subs and need a front stage that can keep up. How would infinity referecnces with like amped 40watts going to each sound? Would these be good or should I just sell em and get something better.. really on a budjet...

eh, i have those speakers and are nothing special..nothing at all..

but 40w rms would be a bit underpowered for them, try goin 50-60..

My recmonedation would be sell them..and get a good set of components

I doubt 40 watts per side will keep up with that much sub. It'll be slightly drowned out, but you'll still be able to hear the vocals fairly clearly.

If you want loud on a budget, RF t162c's, loud *** coaxials.Throw about 80 watts per side to them and be happy.

nothing wrong with them, were still sealed in the infinity wrapping when I took em out... I suppose I would take $40 for them.... not really sure if I want to sell yet though...
