never used infinity. but i picked up 2 12's for 45 shipped. im gonna try them in a sealed enclosure. now i hooked them up and was playin with them with a vega 1600. 40x2 rms. they get decent with that amount of power lol. but my q is how much will they actually take to get them to get loud. i know they take 300 rms but i dont have an amp that does that at the moment. so if anyone has worked with these let me know what it was like. also they are the 1230's

i have a single 10" 1030w in a 1 cube ported box and the output matches if not exceeds my eD 16kv.2 (that is mounted in IB) while sounding pretty good doing it.

i have 250 ish watts going to mine and it gets the job done.

if it was me with a pair of the 12s i would want atleast 400 watts.

i have owned 2, and now 4...

i gave mine 500rms a peice for a short period of time and got LOUD

if you want them to perform at all like they should, 300rms to each atleast...

spend the money and get a better amp... under 200 for a 600.1

well mine dont get loud at all lol but im giving them 40 watts a piece. also what size box do they need ive got them in 1.1 cube each
first of all, 40 watts barely moves a logitech HT subwoofer...

300+ and you'll wang

Secondly, go ported if you want loud... sealed sounds great but doesn't do it for me with these subs...

sealed, 1.5 cubes each is recommended

Ported, 2 cubes a piece tuned to 30-35
