Alright heres the deal, some kid where i go to college started bragging to me about his kappa perfect subs that he just got in his truck. Then to top it off when i walked away he blasted them to play with me. I only have one W6 in my accord right now but i plan on purchasing another soon. Could two W6's take two kappa perfects? I would have a 500/1 to each.

thats kinda hard to say. it depends on the box and all. i personally dont like em both because of their power handling. or should i say lack there of.

Well if by "take," you mean blow his mind with how good the W6's will sound, then yes. The W6's IMO sound much better than perfects (perfects are no slouches, just that the W6's are some of the best SQ drivers on the market). Loudness wise, it's hard to tell. Even if put in the same car, same box, same power, it'd probably still be close.

my old w3's were right on par with the kappa oefectsi used to have....imo the w6 would be a better driver...probly sounds better, gets louder, and surely handles more power. i miss my old (3) perfect 10.1's..... they're decent.....but tyou shoudl jsut save up and get a beefy 2kW, some juice, and call it a day

w6's>Kappas in SPL. Period.

W6's handle more power. Kappas tend to handle lousy amounts of power, roundabouts 300 watts. Mostly sound quality drivers, that get loudish and sound GREAT, but not something you are gonna want to brag about for SPL.

However, if he has two 12's and you have one 12, he will win. It is a close race in the end JL's will win set up right but it depends.

I have owned both Kappas, W6v1's and W3v1's. W3s are basically a slightly sloppier W6 imo.

I've thrown 1000 or so at one of the reference series 12"s and they distort badly but take it without blowing, of course i only burped it. I'm not sure if the kappas would do the same or not, but i'm sure they can handle more than 300 watts.

he has a 1200w infinity amp to them, im trying to find someone to buy a 1000/1 off of so i dont have to deal with two amps, or a bigger amp in general, any suggestions?

Why be louder? Whats the beef? Make friends and shoot the shit about audio.

That's what i did in high school... Just say the other persons system was cool and any good stuff about it and then you make friends and nobody gets butthurt and nobody needs to drop big $ on equipment they don't need.

Unless the kid is a plain idiot.

theres 18000 kids that go to my school haha, i can tell by meeting this kid once im not gonna like him, plus he starts shit with my roomate all the time, so i wanna take him down in sake of my roomate as well

Instead of with subs I'd suggest a baseball bat.

Man, when you think about it it will be a **** close race. My experience is with the older Kappas.

The newer ones have MAJOR design improvements and none of the BS the older ones have wth tinsel leads snapping etc. I had the tinsel leads on one kappa break constantly and then the glue fail on another.

save up and get a beefy 2kW, some juice, and call it a day

X2... you can get a pretty loud sub for what you would pay for 1 more dub6. Spend that on a beefy 15 or 18 and blow him out of the water.
