not the best of quality vids but watcha gonna do.

lil flexing in the front, a whole lot in the back, and yes i know i need to deaden my trunk and roof, waiting for the temperature to rise up a bit

the box will be carpeted, need to figure out wether to set them to fire like this or up first

they're getting approx 350-400ish each here(they're still sort of breaking in, didn't wanna push my luck)

i thought the port would be small too..the thing is i miscalculated the first one so it was damage control time, turned out all i needed were two 1 inch thick plates to get it to 32 hz(with the miscalculation it was at 48). no port noise so far

i guess seeing how the box is 38 cm tall it makes up for what the port lacks in width?

edit: recalculationg slot------>aero u get 9cm diameter per sub, the reccomendation is 10cm..i think ill be ok with this, as i said no port noise so far

Yeah, that is a really small port, especially for a pair of 12's. Also, the skinnier the port is, the greater your port noise is going to be than if you had gone with a wider port tuned to the same frequency.

The goal is to have as little resistance inside the port, so keeping the area inside the port(area of the mdf inside the port) to a minimum is a must. Here's a simple example.

Say you want 40in^2 of port, and a 10" long port. Let's say you can do either a 20" x 2" port, or a 10" x 4" port...for simplicity's sake. Now we're wanting th least amount of drag within the port, allowing for smoth air flow.

The 20x2 port will have 440in^2 of area within the port.

The 10x4 port will have just 280in^2 of area within the port.

Obviously the 10"x4" port is going to have the least amount of air drag out of the two, and will thus have less port noise.

^^i hear what ure saying, and i know that, i f/ up on the first calculation and wanted to do damage control if possible b4 tearing up the box..i realized when it was too late...in anycase, there is no port noise up to this point
