Infinity Kappa Perfect 10vq new box and amp help.

Hello, i'm new to this forum and in need of some assistance. I've had the Perfect 10 vq for a couple years now. I noticed the el cheapo box it was in was starting to come apart. So I bought a new sealed box. I been running a MTX thunder 4202 on the sub for a while. Great sound quality on that amp and you don't even have to adjust any settings! Just a gain knob on it(very convenient). But the MTX was only 200 watts x 1 when bridged. The rms on the sub is 75w-400w, So I decided to upgrade to a Eclipse xa1200 350w RMS amp to make it sound a little more powerful. Got the sub in the new box and hooked up the new amp with better quality wiring than what I was using before. The setup definitely seems to be pushing a lot more power but I'm having a very hard time tuning it to sound right:rage:. The head unit is an Alpine CDA 9825. If anyone is familiar with the tuning on this amp and head unit, I would be greatful. Also which VQ insert or no insert is best for a small sealed box? If you need any more info from me, just ask. I had the same problem, and it came down to the kind of music I was listening to and the size of the box. I have it in a 1.3 sealed with the mid insert, and I still can't quite get the output I want. What did help was setting the low pass filter on my HU to 125 to get some mid-bass out of it. I use a Pioneer deck, RF amp and run 500 RMS into the sub right now...which is why I think I need to run 2 for better sound. the Low insert sucked for a small (1cf) box, and no insert sucked even worse in the same. Hence the 1.3 and mid insert. I was working on having a custom box built for it, but I quit after the 3rd box. Hope it helps.
