Hello there, I am looking for Infinity Beta, Scanspeak Discovery or Alpine SPX-137A 5 1/4" Component Sets. If you have any of these, or some other speakers that have a shallow mount, small tweeter, let me know. Thank you!

I ran both the alpine 137s and the beta sets. The alpine set is good, with the tweeter being the star of the set. THe midbass was just OK, but then again it was a 5 1/4 set. The passive if you run it on the alpine is about as good as you can get with a passive(tons of adjustablitlity). I sold the midbass on that set, got a better midbass and ran the tweeters in my volvo.

The Beta set was and still is my favorite. THe beta one tweeter is as good as it gets, and they midbass on that betas is good and I mean really good. If I remember correctly the beta one could cross over down under 2k, might even have gone to 1500 or so. If you can find a set (good luck), I would run them all day long. THe only other tweeter I like better was the old Infinity Kappa Ribbon tweeter.

If you find anybody sitting on beta stuff and they have extra you dont buy, please let me know. I am always interested in those.

Anyone have a spare set of any of these and how does the Scanspeak Discovery compare to the Alpine SPX-137A. Thank you!
