the new style referance series... i found a good deal on two twelves... i want loud but more interested in sql... think two of these 12's ported to 32 htz or so will get decently loud? do they have great sq?

how close can these get to the loudness of an sx 15???

My IKP's weren't wat I'd call "LOUD" at all....

If you want loud I'd look for something else. If you want SQ they will do good sealed not so much ported.

these aren't kappas, they are the referance series... and i don't need big booming loud n e more... just accurate loud bass without spending a lot

I think there are of course a lot of opinions on here. Many people that deal in these $500+ woofers would probably say they weren't loud or quality. However, they are probably better than most of the regular(non super audiophile) community has, and for two for $100 they should be great. I had two sealed 12's last gen infinity reference, and they sounded great, and yeah, rattling everything in my car i would consider loud. They only had about 150rms going to them too. Give em a shot, and after while, you can probably sell them to some teenager for near or more than what you paid for them. good luck.

Well, I'm no Infinity expert... but I would venture to say that the IKP's will probably sound better getting louder than the referance line... call me crazy, it's just a guess. I think my point still stands..

the only reason i ask is cuz they are 120 for 2 at circuit city, and i want more sq.. i hardly ever blare my music n e more, so i'm trying to decide if i really need the boom of an sx any longer
