i think i am ready to do an in-trunk build box for my 18" sx. i've built a few boxes before and know the basics. is there anything else i should know? how do i carpet it once its in the trunk? how do i attrach the top panel if i cant get the drill in there?

im doing this because i cant fit more than a 6 cu ft box through the opening in my trunk, and i'd like to put the port an sub on the same side, and that's not happening seeing as how my turnk is only 19 inches tall and will require ~ 18 inches in height.

so is there anything i should know before tackling? what about spare tire availibility? that's gonna be an issue, any way around that?

BTW the car is a 2003 ford taurus.

thanks

If you build it in the trunk, I dont see any possible way of you getting the spare tire out disassembling the box...

But as to the construction process, I have wondered that myself (how to drill and what not.) You might need to use clamps instead, so screws wont be needed.

And I dont see carpet happening, build it pretty and carpet isnt needed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
