In-Dash Nav... but wtf with the screens?

Why arent there any in-dash Nav systems with decent looking screens/menus ?

Kenwood DNX7100 i looked at today, the menus looked all grainy. Not sure why. My old Avic D3 had so-so looking menus. Seems like it would be the easiest thing to do.

Also, do any makers have anything but still screens while listening to music? Why haven't I seen any do any visualizations that beat to the music or anything like that? Annoys me having to have my passengers sit and stare at an ugly menu screen when they could be watching something more pleasant to the eyes that was available back in 1997.

My pioneer n1 has moving screen displays.But if you have nav why not just flip it to that screen?I would rather see that then a repeating image every 10 seconds.Or put in a dvd....?
