Hello to the car audio community!!! I currently have a small system in my 91 pickup consisting of xenon 400.1, tantrum 250x2, type r components, re sx 10(currently underpowered), and clarion dxz665mp. I was looking to upgrade from this hu to an indash dvd player. Could anyone help me out by recommending a good in dash, flip out or double din, that i could buy online for under 800 bucks. There are so many choices that i really have no idea what to consider good or not. Thanks in advance for any help!!!

May as well stay with the Clarion brand....they are excellent units and can be had for under $700 if you look hard enough.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

2 come to mind pioneer and kenwood both have 6.5'' flip out models and can be had brand new on ebay for about $750 or less..

the kenwood ive seen low has $575 to $625 brand new i myself would choose the kenwood it looks **** sweet..

if you wana stick with clarion i found a bunch for under $800

thanks for the help so far... those were generally the ones i had it narrowed it down to and good to know that you guys would suggest those. On the kenwood, is there an advantage to have a seperate "brain" does it make it any better or what?

I would look at the 815 of the kenwood, the clarion and pioneer are both 2v preout units.

I have played with the Clarion alot and it just wasnt for me, you cant put your own screen savers on it or anything like that.

im kind of leanin towards kenwood at the moment, i would just like to hear some more opinions from people. thanks for the input so far.

do you know the main differences between the 815 and the 715? the 715 is about 600 refurb on ebay, just want to know if its worth it getting the 815 over this one for the extra cash.

I would probably be all over that right now if it were in stock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif... thats a good price and looks very tempting. I think i just might go with the 815 as soon as they get it in stock. I will still look around just for the heck of it, maybe i find another great deal, but kenwood is what im going with. Thanks for your help!

haha you beat me to saying that it was out of stock, i will look and make up my mind soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
