Alright guy's well i thought i was gonna have a good day today. this morning i was supposed to run to autozone for a parts run for the hot rod but came outside to pop all over my car and windows and someone punched in my rear quarterpanel and i can't get it out because they punched it right on the bodyline. i hate immature f*ckers . i do have an alarm but it must of went off and i did not hear it was asleep early yesterday. but here was my idea idk if its something i could really do or not but figured id ask here. is there anyone so when my alarm goes off i could have a camera hooked up through my car somehow and it would take a pic of the person ? or what could i do any suggestions i mean serious suggestions guys please dont joke around bout this.

well about the camera thing...how would u make it turn to where they are? apart from putting sensors all over the car and having the camera turn to find it...my car got a kick to the door the other night at a party. i pulled out a red rag and a baseball bat and proceeded to break his window. but we usually keep that between us kids. its bullsh.it when random people have shit happen to their rides. kids need to find better things to do at night..like drinking or smoking lol. tell us how it turns out tho

I'm sure something could be set up with a video camera, the only thing I don't know about is recording it.

Very simple though, not sure if it'd work or not.Maybe someone with more experience on alarms can chime in. Siren output to relay, that turns on a camera/recording device somehow?? Just throwing that out..........

idk about cameras in the car. but someone by my house has very little weather proof cameras hooked up on their houses pointed directly toward the cars. and its on a 24 hr record loop. so it records whats going on non stop

I have this on my home. It was only 1100$ from sams club and hooks right up to a computer monitor in the kitchen. Theirs 4 cameras and they all have decent night vison clarity. The recording system has several different resolution option to maximize record time vs clarity.

Infrared camera and a dvr recorder mounted on the house and pointed towards your car (a large one with range beyond the distance of your car):

Sure it won't go off with your car alarm but most vandalism happens at night when people are in bed..

Other option would be 24/7 recording of 2-4 small infrared cams to a laptop in the car running off a inverter hardwired to a deepcycle on an isolator so you don't drain your starter battery.

I think walmart sells basic security systems. Not sure if you could make them record 24/7 but they're like $70 for t.v and camera.

Getting their vehicle and licence plate on camera is going to do you the most bit of good.
