I think it's fairly accurate. Atheism is based on belief in the same way that theism is, but atheism is a pretty bleak outlook. I don't begrudge anyone for turning to theism because they need something to look forward to.

I used to be atheist until a light came on and I realized that everything I have ever believed has been just that...belief. There is no definitive proof one way or the other and, as such, I stick to agnosticism. I am extremely interested in arguments on either side, though.

I don't particularly care for organized religion only because it has tainted itself...the general concept is not necessarily a bad thing.

Glad I saw this thread though.....reminds me that I need to get back to reading The God Delusion. Got busy with other stuff and haven't been able to finish it yet.

It's a great read and Dawkins is of a very good mind...I love his conviction in everything he does and wish I could match that, but I simply don't believe that my beliefs are more "correct" than someone else's.

And honestly...calling it "The Brights Movement" is excessively pretentious, don't you think?
