Im stumped.

Alright, my system hasnt been thumpin for weeks, i just took the time to look at it yesterday and i find that the amp isnt getting power, first i check the fuses, the one on the amp is fine, and the one near the battery is fine aswell, my system is brand new, just about 4 months old. i checked the ground wire and it was still attached. i remounted the power wire to the battery to see if i could get better connectivity. but no matter what i do the amp wont power up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif its a Boss 700w powerin a boss 15' 1600w if i had a volt meter i would check the wire to see if its connecting or not but i do not =(

ur remote wire ok see if ur gettin juice outta the remote wire if not u can trace it to ur h/u

Like said above, check the REMOTE, maybe it came off behind the radio. Try another amp with the existing cables. Maybe your amp has gone amp heaven!

You said your amp isnt getting power, but did you check it with a meter. Just because your amp isnt coming on doesnt mean your power source is bad....Or remote wire.

does ur car start? if so that rules out tha battery being dead therefore u are getting power to the amps unless ur power wire fuse is blown. if the fuse is fine then u should be getting power to the amps now wats left is the signal to tell the **** amp to turn on which would be the remote wire. u should be able narrow the problem down by eliminating the most common.

...take the amp out of your car ASAP and BENCH TEST it. Common Sense to do Preventative Maintenance on components...

I would first check the remote wire, then bring it somewhere and get it tested. Best buy or a local shop will test it for you.

There is no need to go through so much trouble, he can just replace the remote.
