First things first:

1) ditch the capacitor and look up (on here) how to do the "big 3" mod instead, and possibly get a better battery

and

2)ditch the prefabricated box and build your own. there are simple directions in the box bulding section of this forum, and it will increase your subwoofer output tremendously.

EDIT: for those subwoofers, i reccomend a box around 4-5 net cubic feet tuned to somewhere around 32-35hz

double edit: nice clean install though, props on that.

Ive had a few people say that with the subs. I'll look into that, but would it do anything else besides the sub output because its already rediculous.

I'll look up the Big 3 mod, what would this do for me that the cap wouldnt(not looking to spend unneeded money)

the subs will be louder and most likely sound much better then that prefab POS. trust us, most of us have been there.

and all the capacitor is doing is disguising a problem in your electrical system. Your stereo is drawing more power then your car can (currently) handle. Doing the big 3 mod (rewiring your alternator with bigger wire) increases the potential of yoru stock alternator a wee bit.

Big 3 doesnt cost much money. At all.

Its gonna keep your voltage up, throw that "10 farad cap" in the trash.

thanks for the help

Do the big 3, keep the cap. Use it strictly on your bass amp. If you upgrade your electrical, the cap will work to help smooth the current and will not hurt your performance if your electrical is keeping up with everything else. However, as already stated, if the electrical is not upgraded, it's just a band aid.

If you've already got it, there is no point in throwing it away, just use it properly (which isn't what stores tell you).
