I'm brand new to this I want to know if this amp is good?

Don't hook it up to your home stereo. It's a good way to start a fire. Get an 8 gauge amp kit read the instructions. Youtube has a bunch of tutorials as well. Maybe use the search function? Before you go through too much trouble though I'd take it and get it bench tested. Might charge you 5 bucks but if it's fried it would save you a lot of trouble.

What if I were to directly hook up the subwoofer to the home stereo?

sorry I'm way new to me, would someone help me with getting the right wires and such? what exactly is bench test

So you want to hook up the amp to the sub and use it as a home theater sub? It would be easier to get a cheap plate amp.... And yeah. That amp is extremely cheap. Here's the same one on Ebay used for 69.99 and I think he's asking too much.

I just saw it in someone's garage and bought it for 60$ I don't mind the price at all I mean I'm not look for the top of the line 1500watt stuff that a lot of people have on here, just want to simply listen to some good quality music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And overall I have the Home theater which I want to hook up to the amp to the subwoofer or could I exclude the amp and just hook up the subwoofer too it?
