haha well i just am getting into the car audio game and i know not close to what i would like too so any knowlage you have and want to share about car audio would be great lol

i know how to install amps and build boxes and i can set everything up im good on all that but thats it haha so help please

yeah i feel you,

i got two 12'' kicker comps i just picked up new, now i know these subs arnt great, but they were buy one get one soo it was right in my price range for 2.

i have them in a pretty big box that ecloses them behind some plexie with 4 big 4'' ports

i also picked up 4 kicker ks680?i think? they are 6x8, any way got em new also they sound great with just deck power rms is 60 i belive

i got a new jvc deck got the box some where for the m# but yeah its nothin special its 22 or 25 rms with ipod hook up.

now i need to know how i should hook the subs to the amp cuz i been reading about running them at different ohms? bridging?what size amp?

i would like to know what brands to go for and what to not go for

just any general knolage would be great

I'd need model numbers of the subs in order to tell you what to look for in an amp. Are you capable of building a new box if you get a design and cutsheet from someone on here? That bandpass box you have them in now may look cool, but it's going to sound terrible.

and rms is like 150 on the subs so i was tinkin a 300w rms amp can i put a little more power to thim maybe 400 rms?

Why do you say they will sound bad in that box?

Because prefab bandpass boxes are about the worst you can get. A lot more goes into a true bandpass box than putting a piece of plexi on some wood. Hit up RAM_Designs on here, give him info on your subs and the dimensions you have to work with and he'll design you a nice box. You just have to send him a little present via paypal for his service, but it's worth it.

if its the box im thinking of it probably came from bestbuy a few years ago with a pair of dual subs in it. my best advise for it is to use it to start a fire.

and as daboy said, ram will be your best friend for a box.
