if you want some cheap DD1008a's, READ THIS

Just got off the phone with Digital Designs getting a price quote on there 1008a subwoofers; she informed me they no longer produce them, and they've been assigned the 1500a series. she listed off a double stacked mag and cooling options, as well as slightly increased power handling

if you order them BEFORE february 1st, you can get them at the same price as the 1008a's, $113 per sub. after february 1st, the price will go up, but she wouldn't tell me by how much.

just thought i'd let everyone out there know so they don't miss out on this

the 1008a's were 300wrms, but could take 800wrms daily; i assume the new ones will be around the same, if not a little higher

both. i assume the naming convention goes with the rest of there series: 1508a for the 8", 1510a for the 10, 1512a for the 12", etc.

but with them, you get more than you bargain for! you don't have to get the 99Z, you'd be amazed by the sound and output of the 512 that msrp's for about $125 +/-.

it's true, we have some 1508's on the way for a customer and i have his box about done. i'm going to throw it on the meter after his amp comes in. we're going to use the new mb2, on pre-order cause they aren't available quite yet.

Are they only going to be available in 4 ohm SVC configuration like the 1008a's?

I guess I'll contact them about the mounting depth on these bad boys, I just dont think they will get as low as I want them, doubt I could port them in my reg. cab we'll see though.
