sound quality requires less quantity and more quality, I would sell everything I had and buy some alpine stuff.

Like I said it's still SPL oriented, just no aweful sounding shit pretty much.

Only thing Alpine makes that strikes me as fun is the X woofer. The X comps I heard with 120x2 going to them and they were HORRIBLE sounding. Sounded great at low volumes then distorted like hell. I assumed the owner of the car audio shop who's jeep their were in was an idiot and messed it up. Still.

That's all Alpine has for me.

surprisingly I wasn't too impressed with the X's either, that's why I went MB quart again.

I guess I wouldn't need that much power. I would compensate and sell one of the subs and spend on some things that made the quality better, like a better source unit or some sound processing.

It wont sound horrible, but if I wanted amazing sound I would concentrate on sub phase so much.

I decided to save some $$$, so I went with HD's over DD. Don't regret my decision one bit.

I'm actually adding 2 more SD amps in a week or so, and I'll have 2500+ on each HD. Not that they exactly **** splitting 3500 right now...
