Oh, the police question Mr. Brooks' daughter about the murder of someone in her college town.

Mr. Brooks then travels to the college town and commits a murder in the same manner as the first to make it appear as though there is a serial killer. Since his daughter no longer lives in that town he hopes this will throw the police off of her trail.

The movie just sort of ssumed that it did. There was no real mention of it later in the film.

I am new to the whole movie review thing.

I found it interesting how he reveals at the end how he is more than the fingerprint killer.

I also like how he set up the dtective to be killed by the hangman. Too bad it did not work.

It was also a nice twist that he killed the detective's estranged husband and his attorney/lover and made it look as though Dane Cook's character was the fingerprint killer. Of course Cook helped when he pissed himself at the scene, thus leaving his DNA.
