Here are your responses to: #1. I realize that. As I stated before, I did alot of research before the purchase. #2. I think I covered this when I stated: "The amp puts out 600W rms at 2ohms. I know this isn't alot but as i said before I bought the amp before I bought the 2nd sub." #3. I discovered this aswell during my quest for information before my purchase. #4. If I'm not mistaken I think I already had this figured out in my initial post in this sentance: "The amp puts out 600W rms at 2ohms." Infact, I killed #'s 3 and 4 with that statement. #5. Correct. Actually I have two IDmax 12D2's. If you show me a stable way to wire them at 1-ohm so that the amp puts out its full 1000W then I will give you the subs and amp for free. Shipping included. As I had said before: "I bought the amp before i knew that i was going to buy another sub." So I bought the amp to power 1 sub initially where I could give that one sub 1000W. I bought another sub after the first one failed to satisfy but have not bought another amp yet. So the lowest load I can get with two dual 2 subs is two ohms. The amp puts out 600W @ 2Ohm. I have two subs. 2 subs / 600W = 300W per sub. Yep, your math checks out. During my research I read that you can run an IDmax on as little as 250W with no problem. Given it will not be nearly as loud as it would on full power, it can still be done. I don't see running the two on 600W as a really big deal, but also don't plan on keeping these subs running on 1/3 of their max power. I guess this was my real question and it probably should have been stated this simple in the first place: How noticable (in loudness) will an increase in power from 600W total to 1200W total on 2 IDMax 12D2's be? I should have made it clear in my first post that I intend to get an amp that puts out around 1200W@2ohm in the near future.
