IDMAX or RLP

After doing alot of searching and reading, I think I'm just gonna settle on the popular subs rather than trying out something new. I was thinking about Fi Audio but not many have reviewed them so I'll just play safe right now. I'm stuck between 12 IDMax or 12 RLP. I want to get the best SQ possible for $300 so what do you guys part with? Also, would either sealed or ported achieve that goal but also getting that loudness? Basically I want the best possible SQ but also want some SQL with it. I'm goiogn active for the first time and I will be using Dayton RS180 with Seas tweets (undecided) powered by a PPI ART AX400 and the sub will be powered by a US AMPS US-100HC which does close to 1600 at 1 ohm. My sub selectin is my last step so guys please help me out for this last step.

BTW, my last sub was 15 RLP but sold it to downsize for a new install.

I've never heard an IDMAX, but in general, Image Dynamics does not impress me very much. The RL-Ps are probably the best all around subs I've had the pleasure of owning.

ive done alot of research in to 12inch subs.

IDMAX, Flatline, Fi subs, SI subs, AA audio, RE subs, JL subs.

Im looking for SQ, For that im going with the IDMAX.

i was going to get a Flatline, but after going to couple of store that sell arcaudio stuff, I heard the Flatmine and i liked it. But one thing they all told me was. They would all take the IDMAX over the Flatline, due to better SQ and lower distortion.

Im going with IDMAX.

of the subs I have owned the idmax was probably my favorite in the sq department. It is close with my avas, but the idmax still had an edge. In every install I have seen an Idmax in it has sounded amazing

have u ever head an idMAX ported? i've never heard a sealed idMAX.. let's trade boxes temporarily and explore the differences

i put my idmax in a 2cube tuned @ 28 hz. the low end was surprizingly weak, however i thinh ID website says 2.55 cube @ 28 hz. Would that make a big difference? also the max sounds great sealed...just not loud enough to me
