Just need to know the difference between these two subs,

I can get the IDMAX at about the same price as the A.

from what i have heard

ed a = more spl

id max = more sq

both do great in each section but id max lacks a lil bit in spl for the price

the MAX actually wins in SPL because it moves more air than the A.

17 cubic inches more.

IDMAX: SD=545cm^2; 84.47 in^2 xmax=24.6 mm; .98 inches

Total displacement= (84.47)(.98*2)=165.6

A: Sd=465 cm^2; 72.08 in^2; xmax=26.0 mm; 1.02 inches

Total displacement= (72.08)(1.02*2)=147.04

Also, the IDMAX has a higher efficency which would seem to me be more effective with less power.

but you gotta remember that the idmax is supposedly louder "linearly" than the e12a. in terms of xmech, who knows which will be louder.
