I am going to buy one of these two subwoofers tonight....I want good SQ out of the setup--it will be running with 600wrms off a Cadence TXA-6004 bridged into 4 ohms.
I have a 1.0 cuft gross sealed box to work with...for those of you familar with both, is there enough of a difference in these two drivers SQ wise to justify the extra $130?
I listen almost exclusively to modern and some classic rock.
The sub will be paired with 6.5 PG RSDs up front in Q-Forms kickpods, running from same amp @ 150wrms (rated, but will keep gains down). Rear fill will either be nothing or factory 6.5s ran from HU. Vehicle is 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4.
Also, is there any better place to buy these from than woofersetc.com?
Thanks,
Matt
Oh, and by the way, don't rag on me too bad for using kickpods, I may trade the truck off this summer and didn't want to go thru all the hassle of putting in all the deadening and whatnot on the doors only to go thru it all again in 4 months. If anyone has any tips of making the most of that type of enclosure, please say so. I am not afraid to cut a little bit, I just don't know how big of a vent hole out the back I need for it to work properly.
