ID CTX65CS vs CXS64 - Major difference? Should I try something completely different?

So the build has finally begun for my 2014 Double Cab Tacoma...

I just purchased an ARC Audio FD2200, which I know is a good amp, but at the time of purchase I had the ID CTX65CS in mind. I've owned 3 different sets of the CTX65CS and was going to buy a 4th before I decided I ot to come get some opinions on the CXS64 comps (or something else?) first.

With that said, I have a couple of questions:

  • What do you all think of the the CXS64's?

  • Does anybody have experience with the CTX65CS AND the CXS64's? Is it truly worth the extra money?

  • Would any of you steer me in a completely different direction? If so, why?

All of your thoughts are greatly appreciated. For those who care the rest of my system looks like:

  • Stock HU

  • Audison BitTen DSP

  • 2 ID10v3's

  • 1 Cadence ZRS C65 pushing the subs

As you can see all I'm missing is the comps and an amp to push them. I can still cancel the ARC FD2200 order, but I've heard nothing but good things barring someone's reply stating otherwise.

You need to troubleshoot. I assume you have an aftermarket HU. I'd start there by running a signal from a phone or ipod (etc) to the RCA outputs...
