IA 20.1 VS 2500D vs AB VFL 200.1

Well, now is my time to choose an amp for a Fi BTL. Its D2 so its lowest impediance is .75ohm. Is a IA 20.1 .5 ohm Stable? I know the Orion Is .5 ohm Stable, but what about the American Bass VFL 200.1? The Orion puts out considerably more power then the others, but it requires dual 4 gauge power and ground wires. the Im personaly leaning towards a Orion 2500D but would love input from people with prior experiance with these amps. Iv read that many people have smoked their VFL's below 1 ohm, anyone else heard of this? Please guide me in my quest.

A single D2 will wire to either 1 or 4.

AB200.1 is 3k@1 and will do .5 with proper elec. (ive had one)

Orion will do 2500@1 not sure on .5

IA will do near 2k@1 and will do .5

MUST HAVE PROPER ELECTRICAL FOR ALL.

D2 from fi is really 1.5 ohm per coil..if it was a true 2 ohm it would be 1 or 4

I heard different. I heard that it will do more like 2200 and at .5, will do about 2500.

Isnt the VFL 200.1 more powerful than the VFL 150.1? Because I heard the 150.1 will do 3000 WATTS at 16.5V So the 200.1 has to be above that,, AND if course you have to have a very upgrade electrical to do this

Both the VFL 200.1 and the 150.1 will do some serious power. The orion 2500D is not more powerful than the VFL 200.1 and the Orion I personally would not recommend be ran at .5 ohm. Asking to blow it up. But then again, if that's what you want to do, give me a call when it does, I repair them all the time. I don't know anything about the 20.1. It must be a good amp or not very popular because I haven't worked on one to date. Have the others.

The Orion will do 2700+ @ .5 but you need to be carefull because they get real hot.

I own an Orion 2500D, but I have never ran it like that. Just keep it around the shop for show mostly. The VFL200.1 should do 3K @ .5 right? Although I am sure it will get hot too...

So after all these responces...the VFL 200.1 is the best choice...I know this will over power the sub alot...but I think it can take it...either that or a VFL 150.1

The Vfl 200.1 which shares the same board with the likes of the Autotek MM3000.1 and the Hifonics XX-Thor is rated 3000 wrms @ 1 ohm on 13.8 volts.

You're right, I do have more info for you.

After imp rise you will be seeing more than a 1 ohm load anyway.

a DD M3 would be another good amp to consider in that power range
