Well the 20.1 has claimed her first, most unfortunate, victim! The 20.1 was minding its own business when this OEM 5.25" car speaker started to speak belligerently to it! After hearing a full day of prodding, irritating, and otherwise annoying smack, while I was installing, the match was set....

5.25" oem 4ohm speaker vs the 20.1.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Within second of the match, the overwhelming onslaught of power brought to bear crushed the doomed 5.25, whose coil tapped bottom for about 1/2 second before releasing the magic smoke indicative of all electronic surrender...

Post mortem autopsy of the victim revealed that not only had the voice coil glue melted but the thin copper filaments consisting of the voice coil were charred beyond recognition. RIP little smack talking speaker.

The 6x9 viewing the whole spectacle on the wall remained quiet in the hopes of not being picked on.....

ps - I was too lazy to go get the clamp meter and cam, so no numbers or vids just yet. HOWEVER there is a Verge 10" sub in our inventory that has been spreading rumors that it's going to kick the 20.1's ***.... Id venture a guess and say Z1 on that one.

Id have test results today, however work called me in and a Nissan Titan commenced in kicking my arse all about the install bay....Im still recovering with my trusty Appleton's Jamacian rum & Mountain dew!
