I will paypal 1543 bucks to DBfan187...

i think we all know the issues, and i think the members are more to blame than mike.

it seems to me that most mods dont get the respect they deserve and people speak out to them and ridicule them for doing what their job is. and if the members dont like it they get all pissed off.

like goob said, everyone needs to just chill out - mostly the members, and just start being more polite

as the saying goes if you dont have anything good to say, DONT SAY IT.

but CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISIM is quite fine, just make it plain you are not out to offend.

Even though the members may be to blame...go read the backroom, you will know how we feel about Mike.

No one has really "ditched" the forum...they all are still around. Just lurking. I wonder about Brad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
The ones that left I bet you can blame that on PV/Lemon and Goddy.

I do not know the extent of the alleged actions taken by Mike that so many members have become so vocal about as I am too lazy to search and don't even know if I have the ability/access to search for what I would be looking for anyway. My question is this: Is there any degree of truth to the accusations that posts are getting deleted out of spite, threads are getting deleted that contain no TOS violations, and apparently signatures being edited by users other than the owners of the signatures in question (such as trevor87) for no good reason? If something genuinely violates the TOS then I take no issue with it being removed from the forum. If a deletion or edit takes place for no other reason than the person doing the deleting/editing has been slighted somehow (whether real or simply perceived as such) then I have to say that is a blatant and frankly unacceptable use of mod power. Period. No exception.

it seems to me that most mods dont get the respect they deserve and people speak out to them and ridicule them for doing what their job is. and if the members dont like it they get all pissed off.
This is simply the afteraffects of the "Haves" and "Have Nots" in regards to moderatory power clashing. Those that have it are always going to be at odds at least to a minimal extent with those that do not. It is an inescapable fact of life.

I have to reserve commenting on this until after I have a real answer to my first response in this post.

No matter how often each and every one of us here has heard that exact saying from our parents the fact remains that it just isn't going to happen as a matter of course for some users.

Even if a very plain disclaimer to that effect is included within a post where there is criticism there will inevitably follow hurt feelings and the result, more often than not, is going to be the natural human reaction of lashing out at that who has created the "hurt." The regular members can do nothing in way of lashing out but to post about it.
If (I made that a really big "if" for a reason as I do not know for certain that it is happening at all) there are moderators abusing power in just this fashion, however, in my humble opinion that needs to be addressed much sooner than members failing to have manners.
