I Think My Dog's Gon Crazy!

So, my dad and i were sitting in the living room having a bonding moment, when my mom yells for us to come in her room because, "the dog's doing it again". We walk in and turn on the light and our 1.5 year old poodle, laying on his stomich shaking, with a blank stare. He then tries to get up, but cant walk and keeps falling over, like his legs are paralized or something (looks like a drink dog). It's weird cause it's almost like he has vertigo or something or he is having a ceasure (spelling?). Apparently, he has dome this a couple of times. But it freaked all of us out. Has anyone ever seen this happen before of know what the hell is going on? My mom is going to call the VET tomorrow, and we're going to have a video camera ready so we might have the chance to show the VET what exactly is going on. The weird thing is is he only does it when he is sleeping (from what we have seen, just at night). We dont know if he does it during the day when he's taking little cat naps (ha ha ha, its a dog!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ) because noone is there to see anything, but hopefully the Vet will be able to tell us some stuff. Crazy i tell ya, crazy!

Yea thats what my dad thought. Its weird though, it starts, last a few minutes, then just stops. I mean, he still has cohearency (spelling?) because i gave him some water when this happened, and he drank it. So, it's not screwing with him totally.

yep, garunteed, happen to some body's dog around here that i know, dog was fixed but it walks with its head sidewayz cuz it dont have feellin on one side, kinda sad

Well if he is sleeping when he is doing it then he is having a shit a s s dream, that or a cool dream.

On a serious note though, I think he is having seizure of some kind. I know it sucks having to dish out some money to your local vet, but we all have to do it for our loved ones. Hopefully it is nothing to major and he is telling you he is dreaming.

I had an Akita that had problems with seizures. Try to keep the dog layin down so it doesnt hurt itself, and pet it and talk to it. This can help the dog mentally and physically during the seizures.
