i think i killed my HU

ok i was wiring up my amp for my components, some how my ground wire came loose. i put them back together, it slipped out of my hand and touched bare metal. i heard craclking and the smell of smoke. now my cd player wont turn on. did i kill it?

you did not have the power on did you, when hookin things up?

check for a fuse on the back of the radio.

replace if blown, if it still does not work, check to make shure you ARE ACTUALLY getting 12 volts to the radio

ALSO DO NOT ground your Radio in the Dash. ground it with your amps, or in the kick panel.

 
wll i replaced the fuse, turned it on. and smoke poured out likea mofo. its ok tho.. i ordered a 6900UB about an hourafter i blew up this one... dont know how or why it happened. o well.. new hu on the wya
