I think Comcast just gave me free cable

I was sick of paying what I was paying for my service, so I told them to downgrade me to 22 channel cable instead of the full cable. So the guy comes and installs a "blocker" on my pole, im guessing which just blocks the higher frequencies so i only get the lower number channels. So its an hour later after the guy put the filter on the pole and i still get all my channels. Did i just luck out like crazy or something?

I knew someone who cancelled their cable altogether, yet it was never turned off. They stopped getting bills, but the cable always worked lol.

Same thing happened to me when I was living on post. I told them to downgrade my cable for a month for a training exercise. So I paid $37 per month for full cable and cable internet. Worked for 6 months, until I moved out and cut it off.

Did they send some guy out to physically stick something on your pole though? From the research i did, the cable company just sends 1 signal out, and if you get anything less than standard cable (all normal channels) they have to physically install a line filter on it. I actually saw the guy install the blocker today, but all my stuff still works, so im kind of confused.

hopefully they flaked and won't fix it. That would be nice to get cable internet + cable TV for 50 bucks total //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
