True Story.
I walk into a gas station to buy a pack of cigars and hand the clerk my ID. She proceeds to use a pencil & pad and do the long form math subtracting my birth year of 1979 from the current year of 1998 and got 19 (my age at the time). She did this three times in a row getting the same answer each time. Then she looks up and tells me I can't buy these. I'm like "Why not". She says "because you're not 18". I'm like "yeah I know, I'm 19. I'm older than 18". This dumb b!tch says "yeah, you have to be 18 to buy these". By now its taken her so long to do her 1st grade math that there is a line of 6-7 people behind me who are all now laughing hystericaly at this idiot behind the counter. I proceed to spend a few more minutes explaining to her that you don't have to be 18 exactly to buy tobacco products. Its at least 18 & older. She eventually just says "whatever" and sells them to me.
