I ordered a 9887 and an Imprint today, but...

....it'll probably be a while before I get them. I got both from retailers on ebay, and for some reason these places won't allow you to have your items shipped to a different address than your billing address when paying with Paypal. What's up with that? I need to have stuff shipped to my work address because there's never anyone around at my house to sign for packages during the times when they deliver. Now I have to get money orders, wait for the retailers to get the MO's and they clear, then wait for them to ship the stuff. What a cluster fukk! What difference does it make to where you have the items shipped? If the person placing and paying for the order wants their stuff sent to an address that's not the billing address, why should the seller care? I don't get it. Sorry for the rant, but I could be getting my stuff a lot sooner if it weren't for these BS policies. At any rate, I'm still pumped!

Now it appears they accepted my Paypal payment, and according to an email they sent me, they're NOT sending it to my billing address, but rather the alternate shipping address I requested. It seems they've violated their own policy. I hope it arrives without any problems. This place is not exactly giving me that "warm fuzzy."

Including S&H the 9887 was 306 and the imprint was 184. They should finally arrive this week. This process of having to pay by check or money order if you're having the items shipped to a different address than your billing address is a slow, ridiculous one. These places need to come up with a secure way of allowing the buyer to have the item shipped to any address and still be able to pay using your credit card and Paypal. Can you imagine the chaos this causes for people trying to buy and send gifts for Christmas?

With the imprint software can you just use it once and load the settings into the unit itself?
The imprint directly uploads the information onto flash memory in the 9887.

I'm still wondering if the 9887 uses flash memory to save the other eq settings that a user is to make.

Ok thanks a lot. Thats what I thought. My local shop told me that they would do the 9887 with the imprint for me, and not charge me at all for the imprint, so thats cool.

From what I've seen of the Imprint it was a great idea that fell horribly short of it's potential.

Seems to be a good "step" for the novices who don't have the ear/time/talent to tune themselves (no offense to those of you who fall into this category).

But for serious performance, it doesn't appear to deliver.

My imprint is supposed to arrive today. I'm not too optumistic about it though. I'm hearing a lot of people don't like the sound of the system after using it and they end up tweeking the system manually. I shall see.

It would be if you could actually make adjustments after running it.
Does the imprint show you where it has everything set? if so, you could use that as your baseline for making manual adjustments.
