Yeah, if they still made the old model, I would run them for sure. New model isnt anywhere near as strong.
Ive been told they do almost 2k @ 1ohm, 12.5v. They take 18v too. Id say thats a pretty good find for $150. Even if I decide not to use it, I can always flip the thing locally for at least $200. Ever since they stopped making them, the price has gone way up locally since there is like a blackmarket for these amps. Everyone knows how strong they are and sooo many cars run them.

The new 1550 is meh... The 11500 is wayyyyyyyyyy louder.

I haven't seen any tests on the newer dpx11551, but I know the dpx2251 benched higher than rated, so I would imagine the 11551 would do the same.

Regardless, the old clarion amps are pretty sweet, especially when they're just Arc boards in a different chassis.
