i have no clue how to stop the ringing noise; but i really need it to stop!

I drive an '08 Kia Spectra. Everytime I want to listen to a CD or my Ipod (there is an AUX jack for MP3) I hear this awful, high pitch ringing noise. I have tried turning the music up in order to drown out the ringing, but it doesn't help, the ringing can still be heard. Now, this only happens with CD's and my Ipod, not when I use the radio.

what can I do to correct this problem?

i know the noise you are talking about, i have no idea why lol... maybe something with the laser for the cd player? no idea why it would come thru on the ipod though too

also is the ringing coming from the speakers or the deck itself?

Car is still under warranty?

Tell them to replace the radio.

The boards in it are probably f'scked up.
